Are you feeling inspired?
Have you got something to say, a point to get across, something you're passionate about and want to share it with the world? (Community)
Do you shy away from public speaking and think maybe you will be good at it one day?
Do you sometimes write your feelings down on paper and this helps to give clarity about what's on your mind?
Do you find strength in achieving something that you find challenging?
Well...me too 😁 so with the support from Creative Communities NZ, I've created a space for us to give this a try, while supporting and empowering each other.
I have a small number of speakers who are up for the challenge, with the option to speak on a topic of their choice (can be about anything, love, nature, culture, politics, comedy) or the other option 'what is a wāhine/tāne toa?'
We are attempting to put a poetic spin on our creative writing with a time limit of up to 3 minutes per piece.
Cool right? So if you think you might be keen to challenge yourself, express yourself, sing a song or listen in the audience, then please send me a private message on messenger or call/text the number on the flier and we can go from there ☺️
Ngā mihi

Anō Anō Mend and Make Drop-in Session
18 March 2025 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Anō anō is a space for our community. It's a space to come together to learn, share knowledge, do sewing or handcrafts, and get creative together. We collect clothing that local opshops are unable to sell. This is then either repaired, upcycled, or cut into fabric pieces to be used for sewing and craft projects. If it's done its dash, we use it for stuffing and rags. We do our best to find a use for things, repair, reuse, recycle - keep them in the loop and out of the landfill.
We have open sessions Monday - Friday
The weekly session hours are
Mon 10am - 1pm
Tues 3 - 5pm
Thurs 10am - 6pm
Thurs 3pm - 6 pm available for Whittling

Anō Anō Mend and Make Drop-in Session
25 March 2025 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
5 Bank Street, Kaitaia 0410, New Zealand
